About the position

CGI is seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to oversee cloud-native projects, particularly focusing on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role involves planning, executing, and delivering complex cloud projects while ensuring alignment with client objectives and company profitability. The position supports a hybrid work model from Boston, MA, and requires a strong technical background in cloud architecture and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and direct a team of software engineers and testers to meet customer objectives profitably.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocations, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate and manage AWS cloud-native project lifecycles from initiation to closure.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Partner with Client Technical PM to define project requirements and scope.
  • Provide regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including DevOps engineers, SW Engineers, Product Owners, and architects.
  • Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Act as the technical liaison between business units and development teams.
  • Manage project budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure projects comply with company policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of experience in Project Management, with at least 2 years in AWS cloud-native projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex Technical Projects in Cloud Environments.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS architecture and cloud-native solutions.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master certification is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, etc.).
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless technologies.
