The Technical Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing cross-team and cross-department activities. This person will be well versed in the processes and procedures used to manage technical projects and release products, and will be key in the facilitation of those efforts. This role is expected to work closely with the teams on schedules and deliverables involved while ensuring adherence to our design controls process. The Technical Project Manager will primarily operate at the project level within the department, although they will have the background necessary to operate at both the team and release levels. Additionally, this role may involve helping to coordinate release activities, ensuring that all aspects of the project are aligned and executed effectively. In this position, the Technical Project Manager will help facilitate releases for involved projects and serve as the point person for cross-functional projects. They will lead detailed planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of these projects, recognizing and coordinating dependencies early and often. Establishing, maintaining, and communicating plans for associated cross-functional projects will be a critical part of the role. The Technical Project Manager will also communicate on behalf of engineering leads and other project team members when required, holding team members accountable, setting clear performance standards and goals, resolving performance issues, and keeping teams engaged and on task. Coaching scrum teams and peers on scrum best practices will be an essential responsibility, as will introducing new initiatives or concepts to the scrum teams. The Technical Project Manager can represent product development in audits and is able to demonstrate traceability and compliance with written procedures for all product development efforts and releases. This role will work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, exercising judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
