About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Mercury Systems is responsible for managing the development and implementation of Microwave and Mixed Signal products and services. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while also meeting customer expectations. The manager will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, acting as the primary liaison between engineering teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and implementation process of Microwave and Mixed Signal products and services.
  • Coordinate integration across functional teams including Hardware Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the engineering project team and stakeholders such as Marketing, Sales, and Senior Management.
  • Accountable for the success of assigned projects, ensuring they are within budget and on schedule.
  • Develop project plans, risk mitigation strategies, and resource requirements to ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee project deliverables and adjust priorities as necessary to resolve key delivery issues.
  • Interact with and synchronize all key members of the project team and stakeholders.
  • Work with Senior Management and functional managers to resolve resource conflicts.
  • Analyze complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Requirements

  • BSEE/BSCS or equivalent years' experience in an Engineering discipline.
  • Typically requires 5+ years' experience in Project Management.
  • Project Management skills in new hardware product development.
  • Familiarity with scheduling, tracking, and risk management techniques and tools.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements across an organization.
  • Experience in all phases of the product development life cycle from requirements through design, implementation, and manufacturing release.

  • Experience with system and subsystem integration.
  • Strong team building and interpersonal skills.
