About the position

As a Technical Project Manager at X-ELIO, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering tasks for large-scale renewable energy projects, specifically in the solar and battery energy storage sectors. Reporting to the Regional Technical Manager for the Americas, you will be based in Washington D.C. and will be responsible for overseeing projects from initiation through to post-construction phases. Your work will involve collaboration with various teams to ensure project support in development, design, and cost estimation, ensuring that all technical aspects are meticulously handled to meet project goals and timelines. In this position, you will gather and analyze technical data, validating Solar PV layouts and electrical diagrams to ensure compliance with industry standards. You will also perform energy modeling and support procurement processes by preparing technical documents for Requests for Proposals (RFPs). A significant part of your role will involve coordinating detailed engineering efforts for construction projects, which includes interacting with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) companies to ensure that all engineering tasks are executed efficiently and effectively. Additionally, you will assist with the technical aspects of proposals, contracts, and customer presentations, which may include conducting site visits and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Your expertise will be vital in driving the success of our renewable energy projects, contributing to our mission of making a positive impact on the world through sustainable energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering tasks for large-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with teams for project support in development, design, and cost estimation.
  • Gather and analyze technical data and validate Solar PV layouts and electrical diagrams.
  • Perform energy modeling and support procurement with technical documents for RFPs.
  • Coordinate detailed engineering for construction projects and interact with EPC companies.
  • Assist with technical aspects of proposals, contracts, and customer presentations, including site visits and compliance.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Solar PV and/or Energy Storage commercial development or related construction development processes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and PV SYST.
  • Understanding of NEC and other applicable codes pertaining to commercial Solar PV.
  • Solid understanding of renewable energy markets and project lifecycle.
