About the position

Our client's Application Security team is seeking a Technical Project Manager to collaborate with business leaders and partners to craft the product vision, prioritizing the Engineering team's sprint backlog, and participate actively in all phases of the iteration process. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for driving execution across Engineering initiatives, Product, Operations, and external teams, delivering complex IT projects while coordinating with multiple teams and work streams to meet aggressive delivery schedules. A successful candidate will have a good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen, with a proven track record of driving platform innovation and business metrics with a customer-first mindset. The role requires established experience in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams, along with a high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, Agile, and SAFe principles. The Technical Project Manager must demonstrate excellent communication skills, engaging, influencing, and inspiring partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment. Key responsibilities include maintaining project budgets, plans, tasks, schedules, risks, and status, while disseminating information to team members and customers as defined in the communications plan. The Technical Project Manager will serve as a hands-on leader, supporting the implementation, scaling, and operation of various platforms, collaborating with vendors, internal project teams, and external partners in project execution, including contract management and procurement. The role also involves providing management of project milestones and deliverables for on-time and on-budget delivery, regularly presenting project updates to IT leadership and various audiences. The Technical Project Manager will define, measure, and clearly communicate progress with metrics, develop resource plans, track resources over the course of a project, and ensure efficient execution and timely delivery across multiple work streams. Facilitating decision-making and problem-solving to remove impediments for the teams, identifying and reporting risks and blockers to execution in a timely manner, and driving prioritization conversations between teams are also critical aspects of this role. Building strong relationships and driving communication across both internal and external teams to ensure alignment is essential for success in this position.
