About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Mass Virtual is responsible for overseeing multiple projects across various product areas, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication among cross-functional teams. This mid-level role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can coordinate efforts, manage risks, and implement Agile practices to enhance workflow and project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, artists, and QA testers, to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project status updates, risks, and issues, maintaining transparency with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Drive the technical roadmap balancing performance and operational excellence with innovation and business needs.
  • Monitor project progress and manage risks, making necessary adjustments to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Implement Agile practices to facilitate efficient workflow and ensure continuous improvement within teams.
  • Prepare and present project documentation, including status reports, project timelines, and risk assessments.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in Unity development to drive continuous improvement in project processes and outcomes.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Project Management within a technical environment, preferably in software development.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Agile Project Management methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana).
  • Solid knowledge and experience working with a variety of programming languages both client and server side, software development processes, including Unity and web-based applications.
  • Experience in building enterprise software products from the ground up to production demonstrating successful delivery of software applications and systems by meeting agreed upon delivery commitments and quality levels.
  • Strong adherence to security and performance best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Must have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Scrum Master certification or equivalent Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM)).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles and other Agile frameworks.
