About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Finwise Bank is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and management of IT development and related projects. This role ensures that projects are completed according to specifications, within established time frames and budgets, while coordinating resources and team efforts. The Technical Project Manager will also define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Continuously engage with business, technology, and key stakeholders to nurture relationships and represent product vision.
• Prioritize backlog work items for sprint/iteration planning with input from the IT development team.
• Complete daily tasks within pre-established timelines by prioritizing multiple tasks across projects.
• Create a roadmap from business ideas to clarify IT resource requirements.
• Implement scrum methodologies within the IT Department, including sprint planning and reviews.
• Set and hold teams accountable to timelines and deliverables through coaching and training.
• Provide routine status and project reports to stakeholders, including project sponsors and senior management.
• Monitor schedule, cost, and performance of multiple technical projects.
• Assign and oversee daily tasks of technical personnel to ensure progress toward milestones.

Requirements

• At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in an Agile project environment.
• Proficiency in project management systems such as Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.

Nice-to-haves

• 4 years or more of experience in project management.
• Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
