About the position

The Project Manager will oversee operations and maintenance (O&M) for a suite of business applications at a cabinet-level agency. This hands-on role requires managing multiple work streams in an Agile environment, ensuring the applications align with the agency's mission. The Project Manager will interface with various IT systems and federal managers, necessitating strong communication and technical skills, as well as experience in federal contracting.

Responsibilities

  • Master the current contract/performance work statement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to the government, providing overall leadership and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned to this task order.
  • Interface with the government and project team for all matters related to performance, application, and contractual obligations.
  • Create contract deliverables and ensure accountability for submissions.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables.
  • Review and approve invoices.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, milestone estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Manage and update the project roadmap of major business/technical initiatives.
  • Update agency SDLC documents.
  • Conduct project meetings and be responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Manage staff performance and review and approve timekeeping records.
  • Participate in business development efforts as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • PMP Certification.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT Modernization and Enhancement projects valued at $1 million or more per year.
  • 5+ years of experience in business process analysis/workflow improvement.
  • 5+ years of experience working with systems with business intelligence reporting tool capabilities.
  • 5+ years of experience working with waterfall/agile framework/methodology.
  • 1+ year of experience working with financial systems.
  • 2+ years of experience with Salesforce, custom development (including Java), cloud environments (including AWS and Azure).
  • Ability to execute strategy and deliverables for multiple clients and executives.
  • Previous experience with managing large-scale applications.
  • Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills; ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced challenging environment.
  • Expert communication skills: ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality accurate reports.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity while dealing directly with internal and external customers.
  • U.S. citizenship or a Green card Holder (and be willing to undergo a background investigation).

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree or higher.
  • Technical certifications (including CSM, ITIL, etc.).
  • SDLC experience of any type.
  • Software release management.
