The Technical Project Manager will provide essential leadership on multiple medium and occasionally large internal IT or business projects. This role encompasses financial, scope, schedule, and risk management responsibilities, ensuring that all projects align with the company's strategy, commitments, and goals. The Technical Project Manager will create and execute project work plans, revising them as necessary to meet changing needs while adhering to established project management processes and methodologies. This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of business projects, ensuring consistency with the company's objectives. In this role, the Technical Project Manager will develop a comprehensive communication plan to maintain continuous communication with project team members, customers, and project sponsors regarding the project's status. They will identify the resources needed to complete work and collaborate with resource managers to assemble the appropriate skills, teams, and resources. The Technical Project Manager will manage issues, risks, and changes using the agreed-upon processes and tools established within the Project Management Office. Additionally, the Technical Project Manager will determine project schedules, identify critical paths, and potential risks while effectively applying and enforcing scheduling standards with project teams. They will forecast, manage, and report on project financials, including planned and actual project schedules and resource utilization, making informed decisions based on revenue models and cost-to-completion projections. The role also involves facilitating project reviews and providing information for audits, status reports, and executive review meetings. Ultimately, the Technical Project Manager is responsible for delivering medium and occasionally large projects on time, within budget, and meeting functional and quality specifications, while managing project expenditures for both forecast and actual capital budgets.
