The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing large-scale projects or programs with a diverse range of stakeholders, budgets, and functionalities. This role requires a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, where the individual will oversee multiple projects simultaneously with limited supervision and guidance. The candidate should be familiar with Agile methodologies and the various stages of project management, development, and delivery lifecycles. The position is hybrid, requiring the individual to work in the office three days a week, and it is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension or hire. In this role, the Technical Project Manager will be expected to work within a non-traditional project structure, managing a backlog of outcomes and deliverables that extend beyond the typical project management lifecycle. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, as the individual will need to create executive-level materials and provide status updates to stakeholders. Proficiency in spoken and written English is a must, along with strong familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence. The ability to coordinate multiple teams with interconnected backlogs is crucial, as is technical writing experience, which includes the creation of training materials and job aids. Additionally, the candidate should have familiarity with IT development and architecture processes, as well as experience in managing projects with an IT governance focus. This includes implementing IT governance initiatives and having a solid understanding of data management and governance. Knowledge of development and testing/QA processes, as well as process improvement, process automation, and lean management processes, would also be beneficial for this role.
