About the position

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Technical Project Manager to join our team in Summit, New Jersey. This position is a contract role with a duration of 12 months and will require a hybrid work arrangement, with three days a week onsite in Seattle, WA. As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in partnering with project, functional, and work stream leads to successfully achieve objectives for key strategic initiatives. Your expertise in project management will be essential as you manage multiple projects in parallel, ensuring that all projects are executed on time and within budget. You will be responsible for facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables, as well as creating comprehensive project plans that include scope, work, resources, and scheduling. Identifying critical paths and managing bottlenecks will be key to optimizing operations. You will also be tasked with translating strategies and activities into digestible report outs tailored for different levels of key stakeholders. Your ability to identify and resolve issues, drive phase-appropriate risk mitigations, and offer viable solutions will be critical to the success of the projects. In addition, you will implement appropriate project change control and facilitate all project team meetings, ensuring alignment and identifying any blind spots, risks, or latent opportunities across programs. You will develop and communicate project status updates to various leadership levels, including CTD PMO, Project Leadership, Program Leadership, and CTO Leadership. This role requires a proactive approach to project management and a strong ability to lead teams effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with project, functional and work stream leads to achieve objectives for key strategic initiatives.
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel, ensuring execution on time and within budget.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Create project plans, including scope, work, resources, and scheduling.
  • Define critical path and manage bottlenecks to optimize operations.
  • Translate strategy and activities into digestible report outs for stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues, driving phase-appropriate risk mitigations.
  • Implement appropriate project change control processes.
  • Facilitate all project team meetings and ensure alignment across programs.
  • Develop and communicate project status updates to various leadership levels.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in bio tech/life sciences project management; cell and gene therapy experience preferred.
  • STEM Master's degree, bio-related discipline preferred.
  • Project management credentialing achieved or in progress preferred.
  • Proficiency with related software tools such as MS Project, Office Timeline Pro, Smartsheet, MS PPT, MS Excel, SharePoint, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of the biopharma industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity/experience with GMP manufacturing.
  • Experience/knowledge base of viral vectors (e.g. adeno-, retro-, lenti-) and gene editing raw materials.
