About the position

Savantage Solutions is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead and manage government-related IT projects, serving as the primary contact for senior government stakeholders. The role involves overseeing program execution, ensuring alignment with client objectives, and managing various aspects of project performance, cost, and schedule. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT management, particularly in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Infrastructure/Technology upgrades, and Cloud Migration Projects, especially with AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical point of contact with clients to gather information for project initiatives.
• Manage cost, schedule, performance, security, and risk for client-related activities and projects.
• Drive quality of service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
• Lead multiple IT sections/teams with various service areas and sub-teams.
• Ensure contract personnel are proficient in management tools for action item tracking and reporting.
• Prepare, review, and approve weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and deliverables.
• Ensure implementation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices across technical teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of related work experience, preferably managing DoD projects.
• DOD Secret Clearance.
• Exceptional client relations expertise.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate IT teams.
• Experience managing financial system implementations and migrations; Federal experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex IT challenges.
• Experience with delivering software and infrastructure within an operational environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with managing financial and IT-related projects such as ERP and business process reengineering.
• Familiarity with technology platforms and knowledge of DoD policies and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

• MA/MS degree in a related field.
• Experience with project management strategies and techniques.
• Familiarity with various Cloud service providers/services.
