About the position

Modis is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee and drive multiple projects within the Financial Industry. The role requires a strong manager capable of reacting quickly and demonstrating success in delivering high-quality, high-performing projects. The Technical Project Manager will direct and monitor all activities for complex, high-risk, strategic technology-based projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor all activities for highly complex, high-risk, strategic technology-based projects from initiation to delivery.
• Work with business partners to develop technology concepts, requirements, design alternatives, project schedules, and costs for new systems initiatives.
• Plan and direct highly complex program schedules and budgets, monitoring project status in comparison to cost/time projections.
• Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, and ongoing cost analyses.
• Manage significant issue resolution and communication, usually at the executive levels.
• Provide direction to all related technical project management staff while serving in the primary project leadership role.

Requirements

• 10+ years of technology project management experience.
• Excellent communication skills and a polished, professional demeanor.
• Solid technical project management experience managing the full project lifecycle.
• Experience working in a structured project management methodology environment.
• Strong detailed project planning skills and ability to manage from a project plan.
• Assertive with the ability to successfully drive project teams to completion.

Nice-to-haves

• AGILE experience is a plus.
• Experience managing process-related projects is a big plus.
