About the position

CGI is seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to oversee cloud-native projects, particularly focusing on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role requires a strong technical background in Cloud Architecture and Deployment, along with proven project management experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering complex cloud projects on time and within scope, while working in a hybrid model from Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and direct a team of software engineers and testers to meet customer objectives profitably.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocations, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate and manage AWS cloud-native project lifecycles from initiation to closure.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Support with requirements definition and stakeholder management.
  • Provide regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including DevOps engineers, SW Engineers, Product Owners, and architects.
  • Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Promote best practices in AWS cloud-native services and agile methodologies.
  • Act as the technical liaison between business units and development teams.
  • Manage project budgets and forecasts, allocating resources efficiently.
  • Ensure projects comply with company policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of experience in Project Management, with at least 2 years in AWS cloud-native projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex Technical Projects in Cloud Environments.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS architecture and cloud-native solutions.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master certification is a plus.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, etc.).
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless technologies.
