About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Mercury Systems is responsible for managing the development and implementation of Microwave and Mixed Signal products and services. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while also serving as the primary liaison between engineering teams and various stakeholders. The position requires oversight of project deliverables, risk management, and effective communication with senior management and other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and implementation process of Microwave and Mixed Signal products and services.
  • Coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams to deliver new or upgrade existing products.
  • Monitor the project from initiation through delivery, including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending.
  • Organize cross-functional activities to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the engineering project team and other stakeholders such as Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
  • Accountable for the success of assigned projects, ensuring they meet budget, schedule, and customer expectations.
  • Interact with stakeholders to understand business needs and communicate project status.
  • Develop project plans, risk mitigation plans, tasks, budget, deliverables, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Oversee project deliverables and intervene when necessary to adjust priorities and resolve key delivery issues.
  • Work directly with Senior Management and functional managers to resolve resource and organizational conflicts.

Requirements

  • BSEE/BSCS or equivalent years' experience in an Engineering discipline.
  • Typically requires 5+ years' experience in Project Management.
  • Project Management skills in new hardware product development.
  • Familiarity with scheduling, tracking, and risk management techniques and tools.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements across an organization.
  • Experience in all phases of the product development life cycle from requirements through design, implementation, integration, and manufacturing release.

  • Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with system and subsystem integration.
  • Strong team building, interpersonal and personnel development skills.
  • Effective communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
