About the position

As a Technical Project Manager at a leading global bank in Irving, TX, you will have the opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic and innovative environment. This contract role, with a strong possibility of extension, requires a hybrid work schedule, with three days spent onsite each week. You will be part of a prestigious institution that has been a trusted name in financial services for over 200 years, overseeing and supporting program and project management in a governance capacity. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a backlog of tasks aimed at implementing effective governance and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes across the organization. You will collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry, who are eager to share their expertise and learn from your experiences. In this role, you will manage or support a portfolio of assigned projects, ensuring day-to-day project management, execution, and coordination with internal business partners. You will be tasked with creating efficiencies and delivering high-quality projects. Your collaboration with multiple teams will be crucial in driving results, as you develop and implement methods to ensure that project requirements are clearly understood, documented, and delivered. You will coordinate with both internal and external partners to detail out project plans, including all elements necessary for successful delivery. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working within a non-traditional project structure, overseeing a backlog of outcomes and deliverables that extend beyond the typical project management lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manage or support a portfolio of assigned projects with day-to-day project management and execution.
  • Coordinate with internal business partners to create efficiencies and help deliver high-quality projects.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to drive results and ensure project requirements are clearly understood and documented.
  • Detail out project plans with internal and external partners, including all elements required for successful delivery.
  • Create and maintain project plans and/or backlogs.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of hands-on Technical Project Manager experience managing large scale projects or programs with a range of stakeholders, budgets, and functionality.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management, Development, and Delivery Lifecycles.
  • Comfortable working in non-traditional project structures, overseeing a backlog of outcomes and deliverables outside the typical project management lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong data management and governance knowledge.
  • Experience with Process Improvement, Process Automation, and Lean Management processes.
  • Experienced in IT development and architecture processes.
  • Experience managing projects with an IT governance/regulatory focus and implementing IT governance initiatives.
  • Familiar with Development and Testing/QA processes.
  • Able to coordinate multiple teams with interconnected backlogs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in spoken and written English.

  • Experience creating training and job aids.
  • Experience with Generative AI and other emerging technologies.
  • PMP Certification.
