About the position

The Technical Project Manager will provide essential project management support to one or more technical work streams, ensuring that all tasks, work products, deliverables, and milestones are appropriately planned and delivered as expected. This role involves coordinating across various work streams and support teams to manage requirements, dependencies, testing, release management, and other critical points of integration. The Project Manager will also be responsible for providing regular updates to Program Leadership regarding the technical components and work streams they oversee. In this position, the Project Manager will manage technical quarterly workshops, organize and facilitate meetings, and distribute minutes to project team members. They will track activities and action items to ensure timely completion and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks and implement necessary changes for effective project management. The Project Manager will prepare project status reports to enhance information sharing between leadership and the project team, providing recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork and project efficiencies. Additionally, the Project Manager will support Content and Knowledge Management, including the organization and management of Team site and/or Confluence documentation. They will respond to inquiries on behalf of the Client or Workstream Lead in a timely manner, identify and help solve core problems or opportunities within business processes to enable efficiencies, and ensure project results are achieved. Assessing project risks and ensuring they are tracked at the Program level will also be part of their responsibilities, along with supporting the Program Lead as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management support to one or more technical work streams.
  • Drive activities to ensure tasks, work products, deliverables, and milestones are planned and delivered as expected.
  • Coordinate across other work streams and support teams for requirements, dependencies, testing, and release management.
  • Provide updates to Program Leadership on technical components and work streams.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings and distribute minutes to project team members.

  • Collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks and implement changes needed for effective project management.
  • Prepare project status reports for information sharing between leadership and the project team.
  • Provide client/project leadership with recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork and project efficiencies.
  • Work with leadership to deliver, monitor, and communicate progress towards project goals.
  • Support Content/Knowledge Management including Team site and/or Confluence documentation organization and management.
  • Respond to inquiries on behalf of the Client/Workstream Lead in a timely manner.
  • Identify and help solve core problems or opportunities within business processes to enable efficiencies for the project.
  • Assess project risks and ensure they are tracked at the Program level, if applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) is required.
  • Prior consulting experience is strongly desired.
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting high profile strategic initiatives within an agile environment.
  • Ability to handle several priorities and work within tight timeframes, shifting direction as needed.
  • Ability to work in various project management environments: Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid and SAFe.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of data and results/reports into actionable recommendations for client stakeholders.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively cross-functionally.
  • Ability to influence and build consensus across disparate groups.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and personal work ethic.
  • A passion for results.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Experience supporting both front-end and back-end technical projects.
