About the position

Citi, the leading global bank, is seeking a seasoned IT Project Senior Analyst to join our team in Irving, TX. This role is pivotal in applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflows within the IT project leadership area. The successful candidate will integrate subject matter and industry expertise, requiring a comprehensive understanding of how various areas collectively integrate within the sub-function and contribute to the overall business objectives. In this position, you will evaluate moderately complex and variable issues that have substantial potential impact, necessitating the development of approaches and actions that involve weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations. Strong analytical skills are essential to filter, prioritize, and validate complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. You will also need to demonstrate strong communication and diplomacy skills, as you will regularly assume both informal and formal leadership roles within teams, coaching and training new recruits. Your performance will significantly impact project size and geography, influencing decisions through advice, counsel, and facilitating services to others in your area of specialization. As an IT Project Senior Analyst, you will coordinate project team activities, identify necessary resources, and develop schedules to meet completion deadlines. You will verify adherence to control and risk implementations, determine the scope and impact of project risks and issues, and apply your understanding of IT project leadership concepts to resolve issues. Your evaluative judgment will be crucial in complicated and unique situations, directly impacting the IT project leadership area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results, planning, budget management, and formulation of procedures. You will also be responsible for assessing risks when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of the project team, identifies necessary resources and develops schedules to meet completion deadlines.
• Verifies project team adherence to control and risk implementations as well as standards and process changes.
• Determines scope and impact of project risks and issues; raises and resolves issues.
• Applies good understanding of concepts and procedures within own IT project leadership area to resolve issues.
• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of how areas of IT project leadership collectively integrate to contribute to achieving business goals.
• Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations.
• Directly impacts the IT project leadership area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and contribution to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures; influences resource planning.
• Persuades and influences others through communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.

Requirements

• 5-8 years experience in an IT project leadership role with commensurate people management experience.
• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate complex information.
• Excellent communication and diplomacy skills.
