About the position

The Technical Program Design Expert is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of technical programs from conception to implementation. This role involves ensuring that objectives are clearly defined and agreed upon across divisions, managing schedules and resources, and driving performance objectives to meet budget and timeline requirements. The position requires collaboration with senior management and multifunctional teams to align strategies with business goals, providing technical leadership, and solving complex issues within the program.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight from conception and planning to implementation of technical programs.
• Ensure objectives are clearly defined and agreed upon across the division in accordance with program budgets and release schedules.
• Manage long-range schedules and task details using project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, and project scheduling software.
• Drive allocated resources from other organizations to achieve on-time and within budget performance objectives.
• Initiate and manage capital allocation requests, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders.
• Work with senior business group management to align programs, strategies, and processes with business unit direction.
• Lead multifunctional design teams to complete projects/programs.
• Provide technical leadership to team members to achieve complex goals.
• Interface and coordinate with senior management to define program objectives and provide status updates.
• Apply engineering and business process expertise to solve complex programs/issues.
• Contribute to and participate in technical review boards for assigned programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 10 - 15 years of work experience in technical program management or related areas.
