About the position

The Technical Project/Program Management Engineer at Applied Materials Inc. is responsible for overseeing project activities from planning to implementation, ensuring that all processes are coordinated effectively. This role involves maintaining project schedules, preparing reports, and collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance with engineering and manufacturing standards. The engineer will also be involved in product assessments and the implementation of engineering change orders to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing project plans and coordinate project activities from planning to implementation.
  • Maintain a matrix for process improvements and coordinate project schedules and task details.
  • Prepare reports, tracking charts, checklists, and project scheduling.
  • Review product on the manufacturing floor using ERP systems to monitor and drive to scheduled milestones.
  • Collaborate with Business Management and Manufacturing Engineering teams to implement nonstandard requests and change orders correctly.
  • Work with configuration engineering to ensure BOM is uploaded and notify Master Scheduling to demand the system.
  • Coordinate with planning and operations to ensure build, integration, and testing are performed as planned.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Purchasing teams to launch engineering change orders to resolve design and availability issues.
  • Perform final product assessments to consolidate quality notifications and delivery notifications to the Logistics team.
  • Monitor the slotting dashboard for future system compliance.
  • Lead the reconfiguration of tools and collaborate with various teams to analyze configurations and generate Delta BOM.
  • Ensure engineering change orders are processed and implement resolution plans to resolve issues.
  • Participate in development and user acceptance testing for manufacturing consoles and dashboards.

Requirements

  • Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge and experience in SAP ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Advanced Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Project Management tools.
  • Experience in engineering analysis (GD&T Dimensional Review).
  • Ability to perform BOM analysis and Make vs Buy Analysis.
  • Experience with Excel Mathematical Modelling, Data Analysis, or VBA macros.
  • Experience with Waterfall Gantt Charts using advanced nested Excel functions.
  • Knowledge of Supply Planning in SAP MM and demand Planning using SAP ECC.
  • Familiarity with PFMEA/DFMEA, Pareto Charts, RCA, Histograms, DMAIC, Fishbone, and Lean principles.
