About the position

The Technical Proposal Cloud Solution Engineer at Oracle Government, Defense, and Intelligence (GDI) is responsible for crafting technical proposals for US federal government clients seeking Oracle Cloud services. This hybrid role requires a strong understanding of cloud concepts, system integration, and cloud migrations, with a focus on customer satisfaction and technical support. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with excellent technical writing skills and a passion for innovative cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Writing technical proposals for US federal government customers seeking Oracle Cloud services and task order solutions.
• Understanding, identifying, and documenting client requirements, conducting business and technical studies, and providing advice on information systems strategy and service delivery.
• Providing pre-sales technical and functional support to prospective clients and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Acting as a technical resource, mentor, and leader for less experienced Solution Engineers.
• Designing and validating Oracle cloud architecture solutions, including advanced product concepts and third-party products.
• Supporting the sales team in online and in-person efforts to ensure thorough technical writing in proposals.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience with public cloud providers including Oracle, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture and methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud migrations and system integration.
• Familiarity with security clearance processes for federal government work.
