About the position

The Technical Proposal Writer will collaborate with Proposal Managers and various stakeholders to develop compliant federal proposals. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and desktop publishing skills, along with a general understanding of the Shipley proposal process. The writer will be responsible for integrating text and graphics into proposals, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements, and producing high-quality documents for review.

Responsibilities

• Support the Proposal Manager during the entire proposal lifecycle.
• Provide configuration management and prepare proposal documents.
• Ensure final output is compliant with the RFP.
• Integrate text and graphics into finished copy.
• Compile, organize, and revise information from various sources for BD documents.
• Coordinate proposal data and production efforts for high-quality documents.
• Provide desktop publishing and formatting throughout the proposal process.
• Work with the proposal team to produce graphics in response to customer requirements.
• Develop and edit graphics for proposals and marketing media projects.
• Support writing activities and provide copy edits for proposal sections.
• Maintain general proposal files and folders.
• Schedule conference room space and manage meeting materials.
• Enforce security procedures and control access to electronic files.
• Prepare document comparisons and manage data calls to teaming partners.
• Support competitive research and perform simple writing tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in proposal writing, particularly for federal proposals.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in desktop publishing and graphic design.
• Understanding of the Shipley proposal process is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SharePoint.
• Graphic design skills for creating marketing materials and presentations.
