About The Position

The Technical Writer, who will be part of the contracts function, is responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The position will interview our Products, Sales Engineering and other technical personnel to describe current products, services, technology or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience and will continue to stay current in Exostar product and service offerings.

Requirements

• Fluent in technical and common office software.

• Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to check all technical material for consistency and accuracy.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience in either government or commercial proposals.
• Can research, write, and edit technical proposals in response to RFPs, RFIs, and other solicitations.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for the greatest reader comprehension.
• Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
• Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
• Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation.
• Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.
• Maintain a library of proposal templates and past proposals.
• Manage multiple proposals simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
