The Technical Publications Writer at DigiFlight is responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation for military manuals and related publications. This role requires a strong understanding of various markup languages, including Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) and Extensible Markup Language (XML), as well as proficiency in HTML and XSL. The writer will utilize online resources to ensure that all publications are current and accurately reflect the latest updates and changes. This position involves extensive research to identify necessary updates for technical manuals, including Technical Manuals (TMs), Maintenance Work Orders (MWOs), Maintenance Engineering Orders (MEOs), and other related documents. In addition to writing and editing, the Technical Publications Writer will provide recommendations for the development of Repair Parts and Special Tool Lists (RPSTL), ensuring that illustrations and parts listings are generated in a clear and organized manner. The role also requires the ability to work with various software programs for editing graphics and converting documents between different formats. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
