About the position

The Technical Recruiter and Strategy Partner at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) plays a crucial role in the Talent Acquisition organization, focusing on sourcing and attracting highly skilled technical talent, particularly in the aerospace and defense sectors. This position requires collaboration with hiring managers to understand technical requirements and develop effective sourcing strategies, while also maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified candidates. The recruiter will advocate for candidates and ensure a positive experience throughout the recruitment process, contributing to MTSI's mission of supporting national defense and security.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand technical requirements of roles and functions.
  • Develop effective sourcing strategies to present multiple qualified candidates for each opening.
  • Source, engage, and recruit passive talent through creative sourcing strategies.
  • Focus on sourcing cleared level candidates and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to gather intel for recruitment efforts.
  • Locate, contact, and screen candidates for basic qualifications and interest.
  • Track and maintain pipelines of active and passive candidates.
  • Utilize recruiting tools and networks to identify candidates.
  • Perform full lifecycle recruiting activities when required.
  • Manage candidate activity within the iCIMS applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Travel occasionally for hiring events or recruitment-related activities.
  • Create and foster relationships with diverse professional organizations for recruitment.
  • Attend job fairs, events, conferences, and college recruiting activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience supporting search for cleared DOD candidates.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Exceptional sourcing skills in identifying high quality, cleared candidates.
  • Experience working within iCIMS applicant tracking system (ATS) or similar.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4+ years of experience as a professional recruiter.
  • Strong boolean search skills.
  • Experience in the staffing industry.
  • Interest in aerospace and defense technologies.
  • Ability to create great candidate experiences using technology.
