About the position

The Technical Recruiter for Machine Learning at Scale AI is responsible for driving the recruiting strategy for hiring Machine Learning Research Engineers and Applied ML Engineers. This role involves collaborating closely with hiring managers to define job descriptions, requirements, and interview processes, while also ensuring a transparent and inclusive hiring experience. The recruiter will leverage industry knowledge and metrics to inform hiring strategies and build strong relationships with candidates, fostering a diverse and inclusive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and lead recruiting strategy for hiring ML researchers and Applied ML Engineers.
  • Work closely with hiring teams to define job descriptions, requirements, and interview processes.
  • Collaborate with recruiters, hiring managers, and leadership to understand hiring needs and company culture.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitive intelligence.
  • Leverage recruiting metrics to inform activity needs and present findings to hiring managers.
  • Collaborate with recruiting coordinators and partners to build a transparent interview experience.
  • Foster trust-based relationships with candidates to understand their requirements and concerns.
  • Ensure the building of inclusive and diverse teams during the hiring process.
  • Influence and educate hiring teams on interviewing best practices.
  • Take full ownership of sourcing passive leads for recruitment pipelines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Technical Recruiting experience, specifically in hiring Machine Learning Research Engineers or ML/AI Engineers.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on both qualitative and quantitative outputs.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and trust with candidates, clients, and peers.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of AI industry trends and advancements.
  • Experience in recruiting strategy for top ML conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, and ICLR.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing complex technical roles.
