About the position

The Staffing Coordinator position within the Human Development Department is responsible for managing the corporate staffing function, including interviewing prospective team members for various job levels, coordinating recruitment efforts, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This role involves a mix of administrative tasks, candidate interaction, and collaboration with management to fulfill staffing needs effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates recruiting efforts to obtain qualified Team Members, including interviewing and scheduling arrangements with management.
  • Prepares internal postings and/or external advertisements with hiring managers and advertising agencies.
  • Verifies employment history, educational background, and checks references of job applicants.
  • Responds to applications and inquiries for employment in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates travel and lodging arrangements for recruitment purposes.
  • Prepares acceptance letters and extends job offers to selected candidates.
  • Keeps the Applicant Tracking System and Job Information Line up-to-date.
  • Conducts exit interviews with departing Team Members.
  • Coordinates external placement agency contacts and candidate referrals.
  • Ensures compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline is desirable.
  • Skill in interviewing techniques and knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills.
  • One to three years of Human Resources experience, particularly in interviewing and recruitment.
  • Experience in high volume recruiting for Infrastructure technician or structured cabling roles.
