About the position

The Technical Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) plays a crucial role in the full lifecycle recruiting process, ensuring that the organization attracts and retains top talent in the Information Technology (IT) sector. This position requires a blend of creativity, strategic vision, and a deep understanding of the business to effectively engage with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at large. The TAS specializes in filling complex and hard-to-fill positions across the United States, necessitating a proactive approach to sourcing and recruiting candidates. In this role, the TAS is responsible for developing and maintaining a robust technical talent pipeline, which is essential for the successful recruitment and retention of highly skilled professionals. This involves analyzing specialized skills and qualifications to screen resumes, ensuring that candidates meet the minimum qualifications for the positions. The TAS will also focus on reducing time-to-hire while ensuring that the organization attracts top talent. Building strong relationships with CNI leaders, vendors, and community organizations is vital to create a partnership that yields predictable results and credibility in the recruitment process. The TAS will actively advocate for diversity recruitment, fostering relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations to attract a varied candidate pool. This includes attending job fairs and effectively communicating the total value of being a CNI employee to potential candidates. The role also involves preparing candidates for interviews, organizing post-interview feedback sessions, and maintaining accurate documentation of all recruiting activities to ensure compliance with OFCCP regulations. The TAS will be expected to stay informed on current technological trends and participate in networking events to connect with IT professionals, ultimately aiding in their own self-development through available training opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full lifecycle recruiting for technical positions within CNI.
  • Build and maintain a technical talent pipeline for IT positions.
  • Analyze resumes and qualifications to screen candidates effectively.
  • Reduce time-to-hire while ensuring the recruitment of top talent.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and community organizations.
  • Advocate for diversity recruitment and build relationships with colleges and diverse organizations.
  • Prepare candidates for interviews by providing detailed information about the company and position.
  • Organize and document post-interview feedback sessions with interview teams and candidates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all recruiting activities to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct follow-up calls and quality improvement studies with hiring managers and new hires.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Experience as a Technical Recruiter or Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist.
  • Expert knowledge in human resources support functions.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases.
  • Knowledge of sourcing techniques, including social media recruiting and Boolean search.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources talent acquisition processes and federal HR concepts.
  • Skilled proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn specialized software programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and execute work effectively.
