The Technical Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) performs full lifecycle recruiting while maintaining excellent relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large. This role requires a wide degree of creativity, near- and long-term recruiting vision, business understanding, and personal organization. The TAS specializes in complex hard-to-fill positions in the Information Technology (IT) community across the United States. The Technical Recruiter is responsible for providing exceptional client service and full lifecycle recruiting within CNI. This includes writing, completing, and detailing search assignments, ensuring an understanding of job duties, responsibilities, business requirements, and competencies necessary for success in the position. The recruiter will utilize these documents to create advertising and sourcing strategies, build a technical talent pipeline, and analyze specialized skills and qualifications to screen IT resumes. The focus is on reducing time-to-hire and ensuring recruitment of top talent. Additionally, the Technical Recruiter develops and maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates, advocates for diversity recruitment, and creates relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni. The recruiter will represent CNI in a professional manner, pre-screen candidates, develop competency-based interview questions, and maintain accurate documentation on all candidates and recruiting activities. This role also involves ensuring compliance with OFCCP regulations and conducting follow-up calls with hiring managers and new hires to improve quality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full lifecycle recruiting for technical positions in the IT community.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and community organizations.
  • Write and detail search assignments to understand job duties and competencies.
  • Create advertising and sourcing strategies based on job requirements.
  • Build a technical talent pipeline for CNI IT positions.
  • Analyze resumes for appropriateness of skills and experience.
  • Focus on reducing time-to-hire and ensuring recruitment of top talent.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts for sourcing candidates.
  • Advocate for diversity recruitment and create relationships with colleges and organizations.
  • Represent CNI professionally and provide accurate position information to candidates.
  • Pre-screen candidates to ensure minimum qualifications are met.
  • Develop competency-based interview questions for hiring managers.
  • Prepare candidates for interviews with detailed information about the company and position.
  • Organize and document post-interview feedback with interview teams and candidates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation on all candidates and recruiting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with OFCCP regulations and review interview performance with candidates.
  • Conduct reference checks and follow-up calls with hiring managers and new hires.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Experience as a Technical Recruiter or Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist.
  • Expert knowledge in human resources support functions.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases.
  • Knowledge of sourcing techniques, including social media recruiting and Boolean search.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources talent acquisition processes and federal HR concepts.
  • Skilled proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and execute work effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
