About the position

The Technical Recruiter at Vaco plays a crucial role in identifying, screening, and managing candidates for both contract and direct-hire positions. This position is integral to the sales team, working collaboratively to fulfill open job orders while ensuring a smooth hiring process for candidates and consultants. The recruiter will engage with business stakeholders, leaders, and subject matter experts to effectively plan and deliver recruitment projects in a timely manner. In this role, the recruiter is expected to proactively identify and assess qualified talent to meet job requirements. This includes maintaining and utilizing a candidate skills matrix to enhance recruitment activities. Weekly interviews are a key component of the role, aligning with performance objectives to ensure a steady pipeline of candidates. Additionally, the recruiter will generate leads through professional relationships and candidate interactions, supporting business development and sales efforts. Utilizing Bullhorn, the recruiter will log all activities, notes, and vital information necessary for managing and growing their book of business, as well as planning daily activities. Collaboration with teammates is essential, as the recruiter will work to cross-sell and fulfill open positions across various lines of business and national practices as appropriate. The position requires a strong focus on customer and candidate relationships, effective communication, and the ability to make timely decisions that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, assess, and recruit qualified talent to fulfill job orders.
  • Update, review, and actively utilize a candidate skills matrix in recruitment activities.
  • Perform weekly interviews in line with performance objectives.
  • Generate leads via professional relationships, candidate interviews, and other interactions that support business development/sales efforts.
  • Utilize Bullhorn to log all activity, notes, and information vital to managing and growing a book of business as well as planning daily activities.
  • Collaborate with teammates to cross-sell and/or fulfill open positions across other lines of business and/or national practices as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or minimum 0 to 18 months technology sales or staffing experience required.
  • Active member of the IT community, networking groups a plus.
