About the position

The Technical Recruiter will report directly to the Vice President of Operations and will play a crucial role in collaborating with Clients and Sales to fill open IT positions for both Managed Services and Direct Hire. This position requires a proactive approach to attract qualified candidates and maintain a robust candidate pipeline through various networks, including job posting platforms, job fairs, and networking events. The recruiter will utilize their expertise in sourcing and attracting talent, ensuring that the organization has access to the best candidates available in the market. Key responsibilities include sourcing and attracting talent through various techniques such as job boards, social media, and professional networking sites. The recruiter will also be responsible for screening and interviewing candidates, reviewing resumes, conducting initial phone screens, and coordinating in-person interviews to evaluate candidates' technical skills, experience, and cultural fit. Building and maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders is essential to understand their staffing needs and priorities, providing regular updates on recruiting progress, and collaborating to develop effective recruiting strategies. The Technical Recruiter will manage the recruitment process from initial contact to job offer and onboarding, coordinating interviews, managing communication between candidates and hiring managers, and negotiating job offers as needed. Additionally, the recruiter may assist clients with job description creation or revision, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational needs and industry standards. Staying updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies is vital to better understand client requirements and candidate qualifications, allowing the recruiter to proactively identify potential candidates and market trends to inform recruitment strategies. Compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring processes is also a critical aspect of this role, along with maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize various sourcing techniques including job boards, social media, and professional networking sites to attract qualified candidates for technical positions.
  • Review resumes and conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and fit for open positions.
  • Coordinate and conduct in-person interviews with candidates, evaluating technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders to understand their staffing needs and priorities.
  • Provide regular updates on recruiting progress and collaborate to develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Guide candidates through the recruitment process, from initial contact to job offer and onboarding.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Strong knowledge of IT roles, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1-2 years of experience in technical recruiting, preferably within the IT industry.
  • Certifications such as Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) are a plus.
