Active Solar Development (ASD) is an experienced and rapidly growing Community Solar Development and Engineering, Procurement and Construction company based out of Malta, NY. We work throughout NYS, NJ, MD, DE, and PA. We are a leading company in the Renewable Energy/EPC industry, committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions. The Active Solar Development team is a smart, fun, dedicated, kind and talented group with diverse interests and experiences. Successful candidates will be leader, manager, mentor, creator, and team-builder. As a Technical Recruiter at Active Solar Development, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, attracting and hiring top talent team members to drive sustainable solar energy solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruiting within the Renewable Energy or EPC sectors, with a deep understanding of the technical skills required for these industries. This role involves full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and placing top talent in roles that support our projects and business goals. You will leverage your expertise in LinkedIn Recruiter and your understanding of the industry to build a pipeline of qualified candidates who align with our company's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing candidates through onboarding.
  • Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, industry-specific job boards, social media, and other platforms to source and attract top talent in the Renewable Energy, Solar, and EPC sectors.
  • Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and fit for specific roles.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Partner with hiring managers and team leads to understand their hiring needs and provide expert advice on recruitment strategies.
  • Manage and optimize the use of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to ensure efficient recruitment processes and accurate reporting.
  • Write and post job descriptions on various platforms, ensuring they are tailored to attract the best candidates in the industry.
  • Lead efforts in campus recruitment and develop strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates, ensuring our talent pipeline reflects our commitment to inclusion and diversity.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and market conditions to provide informed advice to both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Additional responsibilities within the People Operations function, based on business need.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Passion for sustainability and the renewable energy industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical recruiting, preferably in the Renewable Energy or EPC space.
  • Strong understanding of the Renewable Energy or EPC sectors and the technical skills required in these industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully recruiting for technical roles such as engineers and project managers.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Job Boards and other recruitment software.
  • Procore experience.
  • Excellent proficiency MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, MS Project).
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems helpful.
  • Cross-functional People Operations/HR experience highly desired.
  • MS in HR or a related area or MBA.
  • Certification in recruitment or HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • Ability to work onsite in Malta, NY Monday-Friday.
  • Unrestricted work authorization for the US and high written and verbal English proficiency.
