About the position

KODA Technologies is seeking a part-time Technical Recruiter to identify, recruit, source, screen, and present qualified candidates for technical and engineering positions in the defense industry. This role involves collaborating with hiring managers, developing job descriptions, and maintaining communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process. The ideal candidate will have experience in a technical field and a strong understanding of the defense industry.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand the needs and roles to be filled; reviews job descriptions for vacancies.
  • Assists with the development and revision of specifications and job descriptions for selected positions.
  • Identifies the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates.
  • Posts open positions in the applicant tracking system and advertises positions to gain qualified candidates.
  • Sources applicants and identifies appropriate candidates through resume reviews, interviews, and other communications.
  • Screens qualified candidates and schedules interviews.
  • Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
  • Facilitates contacts by creating and maintaining a presence in the technical/industry community and marketplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical and/or human resources field preferred.
  • At least two years of related recruiting experience is required, with prior experience in technical roles a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of technology, technical and engineering roles, technical skills, and the defense market.
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
