About the position

The Technical Recruiter position is a critical role within the Talent Acquisition team, reporting directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager. This role is designed for an individual who is passionate about recruitment and has a strong understanding of the technical landscape, particularly in technology, engineering, and software development sectors. The Technical Recruiter will be responsible for delivering high-quality professional and managerial candidates while guiding both hiring managers and candidates through the selection process. This position requires a full lifecycle recruiting approach, which includes sourcing, interviewing, and closing candidates, while maintaining excellent relationships with hiring managers, candidates, suppliers, and the broader community. In this role, the Technical Recruiter will partner with internal clients to assist them with all recruitment needs, including developing sourcing strategies, crafting job descriptions, and managing the entire recruiting process with minimal managerial guidance. The recruiter will provide complete and inspiring information to candidates about the company and the positions available, ensuring a positive candidate experience. Additionally, the recruiter will consult with internal clients on various recruitment issues, interview techniques, hiring decisions, and market data to ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives. The Technical Recruiter will also be responsible for building a pipeline of talented job seekers that align with the company's core competencies. This includes creatively sourcing and networking candidates to minimize reliance on outside agencies and executing a recruiting plan that focuses on attracting a diverse candidate pool. The recruiter will manage the efforts of recruiting process outsourcing, contingency, and retained search firms, setting expectations, negotiating statements of work (SOWs), and communicating progress to internal clients. Furthermore, the recruiter will maintain all progress and status reports, participate in project work as required, and seek continuous improvements to enhance the capabilities of the staffing team. Mentoring and coaching junior recruiters during their onboarding process and in developing their skills will also be part of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal clients to assist them with all recruitment needs including sourcing strategy, developing job descriptions, sourcing, interviewing, candidate closing and negotiations.
  • Manage the entire life cycle of the recruiting process with minimal managerial guidance.
  • Provide complete, accurate and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position.
  • Consult with internal clients on recruitment issues, interviewing techniques, hiring decisions and market data.
  • Build a pipeline of talented job seekers that fit the profile of the company's core competencies.
  • Creatively source and network candidates to reduce fees to outside agencies.
  • Build and execute a recruiting plan that focuses on attracting a diverse candidate pool.
  • Manage the efforts of recruiting process outsourcing, contingency and retained search firms; setting expectations, negotiate SOWs and communicating the progress to the internal client.
  • Manage and coordinate communications with candidates.
  • Maintain all progress and status reports, communicating this to the Talent Acquisition Manager.
  • Participate in project work as required.
  • Seek continuous improvements to enhance the capabilities of the staffing team.
  • Participate in departmental process improvement project work on an as-needed basis.
  • Mentor and coach more junior recruiters as needed during onboarding and in honing their capabilities.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of In-House Talent Acquisition Department experience required, previous 3rd party recruiting experience desired.
  • Experience recruiting technology, engineering, and software development employees required.
  • Expert level knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter and Social Media sourcing techniques.
  • Experience in networking with, and attracting, and sourcing a diverse candidate pool.
  • BA/BS preferred.
