About the position

The Technical Recruiter at OpenAI plays a crucial role in building a diverse and talented workforce to support the company's mission of developing safe artificial general intelligence (AGI). This position involves collaborating with hiring managers and senior leaders to identify and attract top-tier talent across various technical fields, ensuring a robust recruitment process that aligns with the company's ambitious goals.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage stakeholder expectations for top of funnel initiatives across various areas including Engineering, Security, IT, and AI.
  • Partner with executives and hiring managers to develop a deep understanding of current and future hiring needs.
  • Develop strategies to map talent and drive robust top of funnel activity.
  • Act as the primary touchpoint for candidates from engagement to loop interview stage, ensuring exceptional candidate experience and fast results.
  • Serve as a thought-partner and advisor to hiring teams, including candidate relationship management and robust funnel reporting.
  • Source talent for high-impact roles through a variety of creative channels.
  • Engage with candidates at conferences and events.
  • Build and maintain effective nurturing campaigns and passive recruitment marketing efforts to improve top of funnel conversion.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in recruiting in a high growth, premier tech company.
  • Demonstrated success in leading strategy and driving execution to hire top-tier talent in niche talent markets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships and influence hiring managers and leaders.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
