About the position

The Technical Representative/Project Manager at Sulzer Pumps US Inc. is responsible for managing multiple projects related to gas turbine components, ensuring that departmental deliverables and budgets are met. This role involves project management, estimation, evaluation, and reporting on components, as well as developing repair quotations and work scopes. The position requires collaboration with various teams to optimize production workflows and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects to meet departmental deliverables and budgets.
  • Develop estimates for overhauls of gas turbine components.
  • Conduct in-shop and off-site evaluations and reporting on components.
  • Generate repair quotations and work scopes using Dynamics 365.
  • Develop inspection and repair work scopes, including periodic adjustments.
  • Innovate fixturing and tooling design.
  • Develop inspection and repair methods.
  • Engage in reverse engineering and part design improvement.
  • Create incoming and outgoing disposition reports.
  • Develop inspection and repair forms, specifications, and component drawings.
  • Collaborate with department supervisors and shop technicians to optimize production workflows.
  • Order materials for jobs and write purchase orders.
  • Develop industry knowledge about competition and gas turbine advancements.
  • Work with sales representatives and drafters to maintain drawings and inspection forms.
  • Manage special projects as instructed by the manager.
  • Develop tooling, processes, and specifications for flow testing IGT components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.
  • Knowledge in rotating/stationary equipment repairs or similar machinery.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of safety practices in various work environments.
