This hybrid role is based in San Francisco and requires you to be in the office 50% of the time. You will report to the Sr. Revenue Accounting Manager: Technical, Product & Strategy and will be responsible for leading various projects across the business. Your primary focus will be to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Strategic Finance, Tax, Legal, Business Development, Product, Operations, and Accounting to shape new product offerings and evaluate growth campaigns. You will serve as a key point of contact for all revenue considerations in your area of focus, ensuring that the policies drafted by the Revenue Operations team are effectively automated within the revenue reporting systems. In this role, you will critically evaluate new products, feature updates, and cross-platform initiatives to determine their revenue impacts and document relevant accounting conclusions. You will partner with multiple teams to lead all revenue accounting matters related to new products, product feature updates, mergers and acquisitions, and business development proposals. Your responsibilities will include reviewing accounting policies and mock-ups of journal entries to provide stakeholders with insights on how new products will affect financial statements. You will also analyze non-recurring transactions, applying appropriate accounting rules and literature to draw reasonable conclusions. Additionally, you will work closely with the Revenue Systems and Finance Engineering teams to provide accounting requirements for new products, present key conclusions to leadership in Accounting, Tax, and Strategic Finance, and manage projects across multiple workstreams to ensure timely documentation and delivery of conclusions. You will participate in the development of strategies to support business growth and team priorities, engage in critical accounting projects, and enhance internal controls on a quarterly and annual basis. Your role will also involve ensuring that disclosures adequately reflect material revenue streams of the business for each reporting period and supporting the revenue team on ad-hoc analyses and projects.
