About the position

The Technical Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing a designated territory, focusing on marketing and sales strategies to effectively cover accounts. This role involves creating and executing key account plans for high-potential customers, fostering relationships, and driving sales growth in various product offerings within the manufacturing and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage assigned territory and sales plan for effective account coverage.
  • Create and execute conversion key account plans for high potential customers.
  • Foster relationships at target accounts to drive sales growth in product offerings.
  • Engage upper-level customer management to understand their business goals and present tailored solutions.
  • Utilize CRM to track opportunities, appointments, and actions related to account growth.
  • Identify initial opportunities and lead project pursuit teams for customer projects.
  • Develop industry-specific knowledge for primary products and services in assigned accounts.
  • Maintain an active customer database with key contact information and activity history in CRM.
  • Create detailed Account Plans for assigned accounts to achieve growth goals.
  • Conduct maintenance and engineering seminars to introduce new products and reinforce existing capabilities.
  • Achieve or exceed key sales metrics as determined by management.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop and execute marketing plans for assigned customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field.
  • Mid-level experience in technical sales.
  • Strong budgeting skills.
