About the position

The Technical Sales Account Manager at Envelop Group is responsible for driving new business and growing existing accounts by developing strategic customer relationships. This role focuses on selling critical workplace solutions, particularly in the areas of environmental control and energy optimization. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical background to promote EnvelopiQ solutions and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, building owners, and consulting engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell EnvelopiQ solutions by developing and maintaining viable long-term relationships with contractors, building owners, and consulting engineers.
  • Work with building owners to develop turnkey solutions across all EnvelopiQ offerings, focusing on environmental control and energy optimization strategies.
  • Build opportunities from existing accounts and increase 'pull through' opportunities.
  • Review and develop strategic service options and proposals centered around customer needs in life safety, inspection services, video surveillance, electronic access control, audio/visual systems, and professional sound and intercom.
  • Maintain customer records in Salesforce, including service agreements, quoted services, and contracting proposals.
  • Attend trade shows and professional association meetings related to current and potential customers.
  • Host and plan customer events.
  • Create estimate proposals using EnvelopiQ estimating tools.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent training and experience in a similar field.
  • 2+ years of relevant sales experience preferred.
  • Experience building a network of business relationships to create sales opportunities.
  • Ability to clearly explain the impact, value, and steps required to execute complex technical concepts.
  • Experience or interest in automation and controls systems of HVAC, life safety, audio/visual, or professional sound and lighting systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to react positively to change and translate it into opportunities.
  • Demonstrated competency in creating presentations and confidently presenting to all levels of the organization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills along with interpersonal skills, maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Competitive nature and a strong desire to win.
  • Willingness to continue sales and engineering education.
