About the position

The Technical Sales and Account Manager (TSAM) for Maritime and Offshore Services at Siemens Energy is responsible for engaging with customers to identify their solution needs and offerings. This role involves managing customer engagements, driving profitable business opportunities, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve revenue growth targets, particularly in the Gulf Coast area of North America.

Responsibilities

  • Engage, plan, conduct, and manage customer engagements to identify solution needs and offerings.
  • Identify, develop, drive, report, present, and win profitable business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with supporting experts, functions, and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Actively cover multiple customer accounts representing the full value chain of the Service/Lifecycle Solutions business portfolio.
  • Define, support, and follow-up on offers, and participate in development, presentation, and contract closing with clients.
  • Utilize CRM tools to keep track of accounts, opportunities, and activities.
  • Identify relevant portfolio offerings that can help customers with their operational aspects.
  • Set clear targets and goals, demonstrating self-motivation and a commitment to results.

Requirements

  • A degree in Electrical, Automation, Marine Engineering, Technology Management, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of the maritime industry and technical understanding of Electrical and Automation systems on ships and vessels.
  • Minimum of 8 years of marine and offshore industry experience.
  • Solid experience in technical sales and account management is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, both regionally within North America and occasionally internationally.
  • Broad customer network in the maritime and offshore community with a track record of building customer networks and winning business.
  • Strong knowledge and ability to articulate technical aftermarket solutions and their value propositions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous seafaring and/or offshore experience.
  • More than 8 years of experience may qualify candidates for a more senior level position.
