About the position

CaptiveAire is seeking a driven and motivated Technical Sales and Field Service Engineer to join our sales team in Lubbock, TX. This position focuses on growing business with existing customers and developing new business opportunities. The role will involve applications engineering, sales support, and field service work, requiring the candidate to be comfortable in a result-driven, fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will undergo extensive formalized training and work under a mentor to develop skills and gain a comprehensive understanding of CaptiveAire products, market strategies, application engineering processes, and business development techniques. As a Technical Sales and Field Service Engineer, you will provide integrated application engineering and design support for a wide range of ventilation applications, aiming to deliver sustainable products and the latest technologies tailored to meet customer needs. You will work directly with engineers, contractors, end users, and food service dealers, engaging in daily tasks that include inside sales support, application engineering, and outside sales. Responsibilities will vary and may include presentations, quotes, submittals, technical product support, job site visits, and hands-on troubleshooting as needed. You will also be responsible for educating and promoting CaptiveAire products to users in your market through conference calls, meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations. Researching and developing new business opportunities with both new and existing users will be a key part of your role, along with providing top-notch customer service and ensuring quick turnaround times.

Responsibilities

  • Provide integrated application engineering and design support for a wide range of ventilation applications.
  • Work directly with Engineers, Contractors, End Users, and Food Service Dealers.
  • Perform inside sales support, application engineering, and outside sales tasks.
  • Prepare presentations, quotes, submittals, and provide technical product support.
  • Conduct job site visits and hands-on troubleshooting as needed.
  • Educate and promote CaptiveAire products to users in your market through various communication methods.
  • Research and develop new business opportunities with new and existing users.
  • Deliver top-notch customer service and ensure quick turnaround times.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of experience preferred.
  • 4-year technical degree in a mechanical, electrical, construction, or physics-oriented curriculum.
  • Excellent computer, organizational, and communication/presentation skills.
  • Strong desire to interface with customers.
  • Embrace new technologies and possess business savvy.
  • Passion for work with an aggressive nature to succeed.
  • Willingness to travel for various training opportunities.
  • Must be a 'go-getter'.
