About the position

As a Technical Sales Director at LexisNexis Legal & Professional, you will play a pivotal role in leading a specialized team of sales professionals dedicated to delivering innovative legal solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue growth while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. You will be instrumental in formulating and executing strategic plans that align with the company's objectives, focusing on both new and existing revenue streams. Your leadership will guide the team in meeting or exceeding sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, while also managing expense control objectives effectively. In this role, you will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the goals and needs of each account within your assigned region. This knowledge will enable you to provide tailored solutions that not only meet customer expectations but also enhance their operational efficiency. Building and nurturing relationships at a high level within the regional account base will be crucial, as will collaborating with various internal teams, including Segment, Marketing, and Product, to optimize resource utilization and drive sales success. You will also be responsible for identifying market threats and developing effective countermeasures to maintain a competitive edge. Utilizing and reinforcing all required sales processes, tools, and systems will be essential to ensure that your team operates efficiently and effectively. Your ability to communicate and present at an executive level will be vital in fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals and expense control objectives
  • Determining the regional strategic plan to ensure success internally and externally
  • Understanding the goals of each account in the assigned region to help provide solutions that complement their goals
  • Building relationships in the regional account base at a high level
  • Collaborating with Segment, Marketing and Product teams to optimize utilization of resources
  • Identifying market threats and developing effective countermeasures
  • Utilizing and reinforcing all required sales processes, tools and systems

Requirements

  • Demonstrate successful sales experience in a complex solution or B2B environment
  • Have extensive legal sales experience
  • Have proven sales leadership and management experience in legal software solutions
  • Able to work cooperatively in a team environment and across the organization to achieve group and organizational goals
  • Able to build and maintain relationships, with both external and internal stakeholders
  • Have proven business and financial acumen
  • Executive level communication and presentation skills
  • Display time management, organizational and forecasting skills
  • Have the ability to travel up to 25%
