About the position

As a Technical Sales Engineer at ADLINK, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating closely with the sales team to identify and drive new opportunities that align with customer needs. This position requires you to provide innovative architectural ideas and solutions, which may encompass carrier designs, semi-custom ADLINK standard products, and fully customized system-level solutions. You will lead engineering teams responsible for the design of these products from the initial concept through to production launch. The designs you will work on will vary based on customer requirements, market demands, and company objectives, typically involving cutting-edge technologies such as next-generation x86 processors, ARM-based tablets, COM Express, SMARC, and NVIDIA Jetson products. In this role, you will be responsible for creating customer-facing presentations and documentation that convey technical content effectively. It is crucial that you take ownership of this content creation, ensuring that the sales team is equipped with the necessary materials to engage customers successfully. You will also collaborate with the Product Sales Management team to provide detailed technical support for new opportunities, ensuring that all customer inquiries and technical requests are addressed promptly and effectively. Your responsibilities will include developing detailed technical proposals, presenting these proposals to customers, and leading the product development process based on customer feedback. You will track and manage Original Design Manufacturer/Design Manufacturing Services (DMS+) projects, ensuring that project performance meets customer expectations. Additionally, you will help develop cost estimates, non-recurring engineering plans, tooling, and certification plans, while providing regular management reports that detail team metrics such as workload, schedule tracking, and project cost tracking. This position is remote but will require travel for onsite customer meetings and global business engagements.
