You will take ownership of opportunity management by logging opportunities in our CRM, preparing quotes, and achieving sales objectives and territory growth targets. Your role will also involve effective collaboration with application engineers to guarantee that customers receive top-notch post-sales technical support. Establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships will be crucial, as you will manage expectations regarding product quality, performance, and delivery. You will work across various departments, including engineering, planning, quality, and production, to drive the New Product Release (NPR) process from customer requirements to production release. Additionally, you will create project milestones to monitor critical timelines, ensuring that orders meet customer expectations with the support of our Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Production teams. As a technical liaison and sales support, you will represent Dytran at trade shows, seminars, and webinars. Your responsibilities will also include performing contract reviews for incoming orders to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction, developing and delivering technical presentations, and conducting product demonstrations for customers. You will analyze competitor specifications to identify Dytran product alternatives and advantages, contributing to team efforts and supporting lean improvements as directed. Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Sales or Sales Manager, all contributing to the overall success of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers, prospects, distributors, and representatives to understand application needs and ensure optimal product solutions.

  • Provide effective collaboration with application engineers to ensure customers receive best-in-class post-sales technical support.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, managing expectations on product quality, performance, and delivery.
  • Collaborate across departments (engineering, planning, quality, production) to drive the NPR process from customer requirements to production release.
  • Create project milestones to monitor critical timelines, ensuring orders meet customer expectations with support from Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Production teams.
  • Represent Dytran at trade shows, seminars, and webinars as a technical liaison and sales support.

  • Develop and deliver technical presentations, conducting product demonstrations for customers.

  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales or Sales Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent of 5 years of progressive related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferably in electronics).
  • Knowledge of sensors and the aerospace industry is a plus.
  • Advanced math skills and the ability to understand abstract principles including math and physics for Engineering/Technical sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking to members at all levels of the organization.
  • Professional sales skills including overcoming objections and relationship building.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
