About the position

At Contech Engineered Solutions, we are on the lookout for a dynamic Technical Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with designers, engineering consultants, contractors, distributors, and government officials to support solution and specification development, provide technical assistance, and apply problem-solving skills to maximize the sales of Contech products. While guidance is readily available from regional leadership, you will work with a moderate level of autonomy to promote and sell Contech's products to both new and existing clients and customers. As a Technical Sales Engineer at Contech Engineered Solutions, your responsibilities will include meeting or exceeding annually established sales goals for the assigned territory. You will follow the Sales Engineer Operating System and work with field leadership to establish territory-specific initiatives and then work to achieve them. Your role will involve contacting established and prospective customers in the assigned sales territory to provide close personal service, seek out and develop new accounts and product applications, and increase market share. You will interface with customer representatives to ascertain project requirements, provide necessary technical assistance or service, gather pertinent project information, and offer explanations and direction to customers on products and solutions. Conducting technical presentations and obtaining favorable specifications for our products will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will plan and organize territory coverage and sales approaches to ensure the most effective development of the assigned sales territory, manage sales channels (direct and through distribution), and develop quotes and orders. Developing pricing strategies for all customers and projects within the assigned territory, maintaining knowledge about competitors' products, and providing project support for submittals, production, and product delivery during installation are also key aspects of this role. You will continually increase your product knowledge through familiarization with product literature, design specifications, field and laboratory test results, and hands-on experience in the field and manufacturing plants.
