About the position

The Technical Sales Rep at Control Source Inc. is responsible for driving new and existing business in the NC Triad Area, focusing on building and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role requires a consultative sales approach to identify and close key target accounts while managing a sales pipeline using CRM software. The position offers limitless earning potential through commission-based compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new sales opportunities in the NC Triad Area.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Use a consultative approach to identify and close key target account sales.
  • Coordinate with Inside Sales Representatives, Product Specialists, and Application Engineers to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of product lines and vendor relationships.
  • Prioritize daily schedule and appointments to make effective outside sales calls.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or a minimum of 3 years experience in the Industrial Automation and Electrical Distribution industry.
  • Strong technical and engineering knowledge and abilities.
  • Ability to analyze customers' technical needs and suggest appropriate solutions.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, Drives, Sensors, Machine Safety, and/or Motion Control is a plus.
  • Superb communication and time management skills.
  • Strong commitment to exceptional customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in technical sales for at least 1 year.
