About the position

The Technical Sales Manager for Dairy at Novonesis is responsible for providing technical support to the sales team and managing relationships with existing and potential customers in the dairy segment. This role involves troubleshooting, optimizing products, and innovating new solutions to meet customer needs, all while adhering to company policies and local regulations. The position requires a strong background in food science and engineering, particularly in dairy, and emphasizes sustainable development and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team with technical expertise for existing and potential customers and distributors.
  • Follow technical and commercial strategies in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Secure existing business through technical support and customer engagement.
  • Perform trials to deliver high performance to customers.
  • Address customer complaints and solve routine industry problems on-site.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for internal projects and protect existing sales.
  • Optimize existing products based on customer feedback and requirements.
  • Assist in the innovation of new products tailored to customer needs.
  • Generate timely reports and utilize internal systems for daily operations.
  • Create networking opportunities within the company to enhance customer support.
  • Participate in internal training and technical groups to build internal knowledge.
  • Manage budgets, sales, and commercial agreements with assigned clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Food Technology, Food Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Microbiology.
  • Experience in the dairy and/or food industry, particularly with fresh dairy, yogurt, fermented processes, and cheese technologies.
  • Expertise in cheese formulation, product development, and research.
  • Knowledge of enzymes, cultures, and other food ingredients.
  • Experience in production, quality control, processes, microbiology, and statistics.
  • Skills in process equipment operation.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and flexibility skills.
  • Customer-oriented with a focus on results and task completion.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with managers, customers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal partners.
  • Negotiation skills with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent prioritization and service skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
  • Experience with SalesForce.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in plant-based yogurt production.
  • Familiarity with dairy industry regulations and standards.
