About the position

The Technical Sales Manager - Instrumentation & Controls will play a crucial role in connecting the engineering team with clients, ensuring their technical needs are met through tailored solutions. This position involves significant client engagement, proposal development, and achieving sales targets while maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing technical expertise on SIS-TECH's offerings.
  • Coordinate the preparation and presentation of accurate and detailed proposals based on customer specifications, providing clear explanations of the technical aspects involved.
  • Participate in activities to ensure up-to-date understanding of industry trends, new products, and opportunities that may benefit SIS-TECH.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to pursue continuous learning and technical knowledge improvement to deliver accurate information externally.
  • Achieve sales targets by actively seeking out new business opportunities and expanding the customer base.
  • Self-manage business development efforts, accurately report results timely, and create strong communication patterns with the home office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, business management, or business development, or 10 years in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in technical sales, preferably within the petrochemical industry.
  • A base level understanding of petrochemical instrumentation, controls, and SIS is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical information and present it clearly.
  • Results-oriented mindset with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the petrochemical industry is preferred.
  • Technical orientation with strong team skills.
