About the position

Hubbell PCX is seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Manager to drive revenue growth through technical sales initiatives in the modular data center, commercial, and industrial sectors. The role involves leading a team, managing customer relationships, and ensuring the successful integration of engineered and prefabricated electrical/mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve corporate goals.
  • Manage and grow relationships with key customers, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to promote product offerings and gain business opportunities.
  • Provide technical presentations and demonstrations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports and forecasts for management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Provide client feedback to enhance product performance and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain professional ethics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in engineering, electrical, or mechanical sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of modular data center configurations and commercial electrical systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and translate complex technical information for non-technical clients.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints and specifications.
  • Experience in ISO9001:2015 and ERP operating environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in the integration of electrical and mechanical systems for custom applications.
  • Quoting experience related to commercial MEP construction.
  • Good working knowledge of NEC, UL, and ETL for low and medium-voltage applications.
