About the position

The Technical Sales Manager - OEM/Industrial at Halex is responsible for managing the OEM business across the United States. This role involves direct management of Halex products within the OEM distribution channel, focusing on building and maintaining customer relationships, executing sales strategies, and achieving annual sales goals. The position requires effective communication with various departments and stakeholders, as well as market intelligence analysis to drive product development and pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all customers listed within the OEM channels.
  • Execute successful strategies to achieve the annual sales goals within assigned accounts.
  • Travel approximately 25-40% within territory to customers and facilities.
  • Develop a sales plan to grow the OEM business with new and existing customers.
  • Own the relationship with the customer at all levels including Buying, Replenishment, Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Effectively communicate with all Halex departments, customers, and representatives.
  • Create sales promotions and pricing strategies based on market intelligence.
  • Manage and maintain current and accurate records.
  • Work both independently and within a team structure when situation warrants.
  • Provide national information regarding market intelligence (Price, Competition, Programs).
  • Provide feedback from the field regarding customers, competitors, product needs, and forecasts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Sciences, or Business degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience selling technical products.
  • 2+ years of experience in the Electrical Field preferred.
  • 2+ years of OEM experience preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical fittings, connectors, and electrical components preferred.
  • Independent thinker that is both proactive and intuitive.
  • Demonstrates the capacity to adapt and relate to all types of people.
  • Articulates ideas as well as listens effectively.
  • Thinks strategically, with an ability to think about long-term implications.
  • Computer proficient (Windows, MS Office, CRM, and ERP systems).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all company personnel.
